Elise has been a Chai Latte lover from waaay back and will take any excuse to put this flavour in her baking 🙌🏼
To give these donuts their DELISH cafe style Chai Latte flavour, she used our hero concentrate, Chai Addict – an all natural, super authentic chai concentrate which makes the best homemade chai lattes, and now, donuts! ✨
1 cup almond meal
2 tbsp coconut flour
1/3 cup + 1 tbsp coconut sugar
2 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 eggs (or vegan eggs)
1/4 cup vegan butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup @chaiaddict_melb Chai Addict Concentrate
Salted Caramel Tahini Glaze Ingredients
2 tbsp tahini
3 tbsp pure maple syrup
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
1 tbsp chai addict
Crushed pecans or walnuts, to garnish
Preheat the oven to 180C, fan-forced, and grease donut moulds with a good amount of coconut oil.
Add all the dry donut ingredients to a bowl and combine. In a separate bowl, combine the remaining wet ingredients.
Pour wet ingredients into the dry mixture and mix well.
Carefully spoon batter into donut moulds and place in the oven to bake for 18- 20 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
Allow donuts to cool for 5 minutes in the moulds before removing.
Move onto the glaze. Add all glaze ingredients to a bowl and mix to make a runny glaze.
Dip donuts in glaze and then sprinkle with crushed nuts. Place in the fridge to set!
